Jenny’s Christmas Miracle- Part 2

Hey, guys! Part One is just below this post. Enjoy the conclusion of this tale!

Jenny’s Christmas Miracle: Part Two

As Jenny slept on, a neighbor was watching the late night news on TV. A small thump was heard on Jenny’s roof. He looked up, decided it was just some kid throwing a snowball, and went back to the news. But when a sliding sound was heard, he ran over, but could see nothing.

An old penguin in a red suit and hat both trimmed with red cotton pulled himself out of the chimney. “That’s it,” he gasped. “I don’t care what Mama thinks, I’m dieting.”

He looked around. He’d reached the home of Jenny. It was sparsely furnished; only a fireplace, beds for the puffles, and a couple dishes were in the main part. A Coins for Change poster and a wood stove were the only pieces in the lower level, along with a few curtains to cover the door. When a breeze ruffled the penguin’s feathers, he suspected there wasn’t a door at all.

The penguin thought, and thought before remembering Jenny had sent him several lists that year. He pulled out the most recent one.

Dear Santa,

I have been very good this year, but the world has not been good to me. I had to move out of my iglew igloo after the rats infested it, so I don’t have much money this year. I have five puffles and unless I get monee money soon, I will lose my puffles and my home. I wish I could treat them, but I can’t. Here is a list of what I want anyway:

  • A pinata
  • Two teddy bears
  • A bookshelf filled with books
  • A rug that looks like a map of Club Penguin
  • A flatscreen TV
  • A stuffed giraffe
  • A chest filled with money
  • A golden jeweled mirror
  • A fish tank with fish
  • A lava lamp
  • A drum set
  • A puffle bean bag chair
  • A copy of How to Win at Card-Jitsu by Billybob
  • A Christmas Miracle

I really wish I could afford things for my friends, but all my money is going to food for me and my puffles.

Santa shook his head. “What an unfortunate girl,” he murmured. “I’ll help her if it’s the last thing I do!”

He folded up her letter and tucked in his pocket so he could archive it later. Then he set to work, bringing her everything she wanted and more. Setting everything expertly in place, he managed to fit more under that tree then he ever though possible. Her biggest surprise- a chest of coins- was hidden in the back.

What could he do about her puffles? Then he thought about houses and toys and  set them underneath her Christmas tree.

Satisfied he had done the full extent of his job, Santa left again through the chimney and continued to the next igloo.

Jenny woke up the next morning. After realizing it was Christmas Day, she felt even sadder.

Jenny pulled herself out of bed to clean up the Christmas stuff, not even noticing the changes to her room, but she froze the moment she saw the tree half-buried in stuff.

Jenny wandered around her igloo, marveling at all the things Santa had left in the night.

But it wasn’t a ding dong ditcher. It was Amber Dolly. She grinned when Jenny opened the door, her silky brown hair falling down her shoulders like a waterfall. “Well?” she asked. “What’d you get?”

“So much stuff I can’t count it all,” Jenny replied.

“Very funny,” Amber laughed. “Anyway, get dressed.”

“For what?” Jenny was confused.

“For the Christmas Party down at Salty’s and then the community dinner at the Pizza Parlor,” Amber explained. Then she caught sight of the half-buried tree and her eyes grew wide. “I thought you were kidding! What happened here?”

It was then Jenny knew her most important item on her list had come true. “A Christmas miracle!”

Amber was up the stairs in an instant, sifting through the gifts. “Hey, what’s this chest at the back?” she asked. “There’s two.”

Jenny came up and opened it, and gasped. In each chest was thousands of coins.

“Definitely a Christmas miracle,” Amber said.

“Yep,” Jenny agreed.

“Anyway, get dressed, and then head to Salty’s. I hear Mimo and Fever might be there.” Amber went out the door.

Jenny couldn’t help smiling.

A Christmas miracle really did come her way.
